In order to reveal underlying psychiatric problems, a thorough evaluation will be performed to ensure the precision and accuracy of the diagnosis. This is accomplished by obtaining a good history, symptoms, and collateral information from family (if possible). When arriving at your first appointment, please be sure to come at least 20 minutes in advance. Arriving early will allow for time to complete the required paperwork. Initial evaluations typically last for about an hour and in some circumstances, laboratory testing may be necessary prior to medication implementation.
