President and Chief Psychiatrist
Dr. Haygood is the CEO and practicing physician at New South Psychiatry. His goal is to promote well-being and positive mental health among his patients. He is happy to call Mobile his home. He Began in private practice in April of 2018. Dr. Haygood is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist. He has been an attending physician since 2015. He completed his residency at the University of South Alabama after attending medical school at Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He currently serves as the treasurer for the Alabama Psychiatric Physicians Association. His favorite thing about being an outpatient psychiatrist is being able to take the time to get to know the patient’s he treats.
